The second game Jordan made for Episode 16 (October 10, 2025) was a highway paving mini-game: crush rocks, heat them, pave the road and roll it out, all by clicking. It was built for our guest's company, Edgevanta, which makes AI agents for civil construction bids. The demo took about a minute and a half, and Jordan didn't say what he built it with or how long it took. Evidence here is thin, so this page is short and only describes what we showed.
Edgevanta's customers are civil contractors, and a lot of that work is roads. Jordan had already built Edgevanta Tycoon, a bidding game, and followed it with this one about the building itself. His honest framing:
Know, I'm just real really no expert in the highway construction space, but I do like to make some fun games on the Internet.
— Jordan Metzner, Episode 16
Not covered on the show, and we won't guess. It runs in the browser and is played entirely with clicks and click-and-hold.
These are the game's stages as Jordan played them at 04:13, not the build process:
Jordan paved the whole highway on air. Edgevanta CEO Tristan Wilson offered a "Nice" when the paving started. Jordan's own review: "maybe wasn't my all best, but I paved the highway," crediting Edgevanta for making it possible, tongue in cheek.
It's a toy, and that's the point: something light before a conversation about real highway work. Right after it, Tristan, a former civil estimator, described what bidding on a road job looks like. A county sends a bid package for widening a highway that runs 1,200 to 1,500 pages, of which maybe 80 to 100 really matter, and an estimator has to read all of it. He told a story about a $6.5 million airport bid submitted 19 seconds late because of a missed requirement in an addendum; it would have been the low bid.
Sam's question at 05:37 set up why the game theme fits: construction is a historically old-school industry, and the part Edgevanta tackles, reading and summarizing bid documents, is exactly the kind of work AI makes faster. The game is about the physical work; the product is about everything that happens before the first rock gets crushed.
If you want a construction build with more substance, Sam's BOM price-shock scenario tool models material price swings for contractors. For the industry view, see AI in construction.
You click to crush rocks until the container is full, heat the rocks, switch to paving mode to lay the highway, then click and hold to roll it out. Jordan finished a full highway on air in about a minute.
It was the second of two games Jordan built to open Episode 16 with Edgevanta, whose AI agents help civil contractors bid on projects like highway work.
The episode didn't say. Jordan played the finished game and didn't name his tools or how long it took.
