Pomelli
Pomelli turns your website into a 'business DNA' and then into on-brand social campaigns in minutes; it is great for quick, elegant ideas, but some images look very AI and it only makes static images.

Our verdict on Pomelli
Pomelli, Google's AI social content tool, is the quickest way we've found to get on-brand social images from nothing but a website. Sam had already used it on another brand and loved "how quickly you can create really elegant social content."
It isn't a finished-ad machine. In our live test in November 2025, some images looked "very AI," Sam didn't love the first batch, and it only made static images. We see it as an inspiration tool, which is how Sam described it.
What we did with Pomelli
Pomelli was our tool of the week in Episode 20, about a week or two after Google announced it. Jordan ran it on the website for EntreVista, our AI interview product.
- Business DNA: Pomelli pulled images from the site, the main colors, fonts, the brand aesthetic and what the business does, and asked for the logo. It got it right on the first try for Sam on his other brand.
- Suggested campaigns: it proposed lines like "Recruitment speed simplified" (Sam's pick), "Stop screening, start evaluating" and later "The future of interviews is now."
- LinkedIn images: Jordan asked for four new hyper-realistic LinkedIn images. Some were "not that nice," others better. One ad read "Hire smarter not harder."
- Reuse of site copy: one asset pulled a claim straight from the website about reducing time to hire, which is a reminder to check every line.
But what I've loved about this is how quickly you can create really elegant social content, and I'll quickly describe the way it works as you kinda poke around.

How we use Pomelli
- Enter your website and wait. Building the business DNA takes a few minutes, so Jordan did it before recording.
- Review the business DNA. Check images, colors, fonts, logo and taglines. You can add to it, modify it or rerun it. If it's right the first time, accept it with "looks good."
- Start from a suggested campaign. Pomelli offers campaign ideas based on the business DNA. Pick the tagline you like, not the images.
- Swap images you don't like. Sam liked a tagline but not its images, so we changed them out.
- Ask for a specific format and style. "Make me four new images for LinkedIn," in a hyper-realistic style, for example.
- Use "fix layout" for quick variations. It redoes the layout and gives you another version.
- Ask for new ideas or name your own campaign. "Suggest ideas" gives fresh concepts, or you can say "make a campaign called X." New campaigns take a few minutes.
- Double-check everything. Pomelli itself warns that it can make mistakes.
Where Pomelli falls short
- Some images look very AI. Jordan's words, and visible in several of the LinkedIn images.
- Static images only. No video when we tested it. Jordan imagined Google adding something like Veo 3.1 to make better assets.
- Slow setup. A few minutes to read your site, and a few more for each new campaign.
- Taste still required. Taglines were often better than the images, so a person still picks and edits.
Some of these are okay. You can see they're kind of, like, very AI e.

Where Pomelli fits for us
Sam said we had just introduced Pomelli to our teams as "another quick way to have high quality content, get some ideas quickly, and then move on to other things." Once content exists, we schedule it across channels with Publer. For more polished ad concepts later, Sam used Claude Design with Nano Banana images (Episode 40).
One gap in our evidence: we didn't report how any Pomelli posts performed once published, so we can't tell you whether they get more engagement than what our social team makes by other means.

Can Pomelli make videos?
Not when we tested it in November 2025. It only made static images; Jordan said you could imagine Google adding something like Veo 3.1 later.
